 7th Keub (Grade) Green Belt Requirements

 방권 Bhang Kwon Sool (defense against punch) 1-7  

1st stripe

  1. Bhang Kwon 1 Sool – Opponent steps forward with a right high punch in a right forward stance. Step to their right in a forward stance, execute a right high block, then reverse punch to the floating ribs.
  2. Bhang Kwon 2 Sool – Opponent steps forward with a right middle punch in a right forward stance. Stepping inside toward the left in a right forward stance, execute a right knife hand block to the wrist, immediately execute a right knife hand strike to their right jaw.
  3. Bhang Kwon 3 Sool – Opponent steps forward with a right high punch in a right forward stance. Step to the inside in a right forward stance, execute a right (right hand on top) X block, grab their wrist, and execute a right inward knife hand strike to their left jaw.
  4. Bhang Kwon 4 Sool – Opponent steps forward with a right middle punch in a right forward stance. Step to the outside in a sitting stance, execute a left knife hand inward block to the wrist, grabbing the wrist and pulling downward and then execute a knife hand strike to the back of their neck.
  5. Bhang Kwon 5 Sool – Opponent steps forward with a right middle punch in a right forward stance. Stepping to the outside into a sitting stance execute a left knife block to their right arm then grab at the wrist holding their arm downward, then execute a right ridge hand strike to their nose.
  6. Bhang Kwon 6 Sool – Opponent steps forward with a right high punch in a right forward stance. Stepping to the outside into a right forward stance, execute a left knife hand block to the elbow of their arm, followed by a right forward elbow strike to their ribs.
  7. Bhang Kwon 7 Sool – Opponent steps forward with a right high punch in a right forward stance. Stepping to the inside, execute a left high block, then grabbing the sleeve and holding it, execute a right hammer fist to the inside leg above their knee.

방권 Bhang Kwon Sool (defense against punch) 8-14 

2nd stripe

  • Bhang Kwon 8 Sool – Opponent steps forward with a right high punch in a right forward stance. Stepping to the outside in a forward stance, execute a right high knife hand checking block, pivoting to a sitting stance while grabbing their wrist, execute a knife hand pushing strike to the right elbow and pinning them to the ground.
  • Bhang Kwon 9 Sool – Opponent steps forward with a right high punch in a right forward stance. Stepping to the outside, execute a right high knife hand checking block, grab their wrist, and pull down and step backwards and execute a knife hand pushing block to the right elbow bring the down and forward for a pin.
  • Bhang Kwon 10 Sool – Opponent steps forward with a right high punch in a right forward stance. Stepping to the outside and turning towards and capture the wrist/arm with your left, grabbing the wrist with both hands, and putting your left elbow on top of theirs and pushing downward to pin them.
  • Bhang Kwon 11 Sool – Opponent steps forward with a right high punch in a right forward stance. Stepping just to the outside of their right foot, execute a left knife hand high block, grabbing their wrist, and pinning the wrist back and turning them outside to roll/flip them.
  • Bhang Kwon 12 Sool – Opponent steps forward with a right high punch in a right forward stance. Stepping to the outside into a sitting stance, execute a left knife hand block just in front of their right elbow, roll your left blocking arm over top and wrap your right arm around your left, with the right hand on top, press them down while stepping back pinning them forward to the ground.
  • Bhang Kwon 13 Sool – Opponent steps forward with a right high punch in a right forward stance. Stepping to the outside of their right foot, execute a right knife hand checking block, rolling hand on top of theirs while pushing down and grabbing with both hands, turning into and under their arm while locking their wrist.
  • Bhang Kwon 14 Sool – Opponent steps forward with a right high punch in a right forward stance. Stepping to the right inside, blocking with a left knife hand block at the wrist, grabbing with both hands, while turning and stepping back towards the right, bringing their arm above your head and bringing them down backwards to the ground.

방권 Bhang Kwon Soo (defense against punch) 15-21 

3rd  stripe

  1. Bhang Kwon 15 Sool – Opponent steps forward with a right high punch in a right forward stance. Stepping to the outside of their right foot, execute a right knife hand block, grabbing the wrist, stepping through with left foot inside their legs while pulling their right arm across your chest and throwing them forward.
  2. Bhang Kwon 16 Sool – Opponent steps forward with a right high punch in a right forward stance. Stepping inside, blocking with a left knife hand block, grab their right wrist, stepping forward grabbing under their left arm, stepping in with the right hip and tossing them over.
  3. Bhang Kwon 17 Sool – Opponent steps forward with a right high punch in a right forward stance. Stepping to the inside, execute a left knife hand block, grab their sleeve at the wrist, and turning into them with arm above your shoulder and throwing them with your hip.
  4. Bhang Kwon 18 Sool – Opponent steps forward with a right high punch in a right forward stance. Stepping to the outside execute a right knife hand checking block, grab their wrist with both hands, stepping in to with your left, under their armpit, and pull down with their wrist up, tossing over your left shoulder.
  5. Bhang Kwon 19 Sool – Opponent steps forward with a right high punch in a right forward stance. Stepping to the inside of their right foot, in a right forward stance, grabbing their right wrist with your left hand, turning into them with the left foot to the outside of right leg placing foot between theirs, extending their right arm, carrying them over your shoulders.
  6. Bhang Kwon 20 Sool – Opponent steps forward with a right high punch in a right forward stance. Stepping inside their right foot, execute a left wrist grab, turning inside, placing their right arm across your back and carry them over maintaining the hold.
  7. Bhang Kwon 21 Sool – Opponent steps forward with a right high punch in a right forward stance. Stepping to the outside in a forward stance execute a left knife hand block at the wrist. Stepping forward execute a right knife strike to the pelvis and right palm heel to chin and tossing them back.
