1st  Keub (Grade) Red/Black Belt Requirements

습술 Seub Sool (Attacking techniques)1-7

1st stripe

  1. Seub 1 Sool – Both you and your opponent are standing in a natural stance, fully facing each other. Step forward with your right foot, grab their right label and pull with your left hand as you execute a right punch to their solar plexus.  
  2. Seub 2 Sool – Both you and your opponent are standing in a natural stance, fully facing each other. Step forward with your right foot, grab the opponent’s right label and pull with your left hand as you execute a right inward knife hand strike to the side of the neck.
  3. Seub 3 Sool – Both you and your opponent are standing in a natural stance, fully facing each other. Step forward with your left foot, grab the opponent’s right label, and pull with your left hand as you execute a right ridge hand strike to the point between the upper lip and nose.
  4. Seub 4 Sool –  Both you and your opponent are standing in a natural stance, fully facing each other. Step forward with your right foot, grab the opponent’s right lapel with your left hand, execute a right hammer first to their left temple.
  5. Seub 5 Sool – Both you and your opponent are standing in a natural stance, fully facing each other. Step forward with your right foot, grab the opponent’s right lapel with your left hand, execute a right palm strike to their solar plexus.    
  6. Seub 6 Sool – Both you and your opponent are standing in a natural stance, fully facing each other. Step forward with your right foot, grab the opponent’s left-right label with your left hand, execute a right forward elbow to the solar plexus.   
  7. Seub 7 Sool – Both you and your opponent are standing in a natural stance, fully facing each other. Step forward with your right foot, grab the opponent’s right label and pull with your left hand as you execute a right flat knuckle punch to the left side of your neck.

2nd  stripe

  • Seub 8 Sool – Both you and your opponent are standing in a natural stance, fully facing each other. Step forward and to the right with your left foot, placing it in front of your opponent’s left foot, grab their left hand with your left hand, turn your body counterclockwise until the opponent’s elbow is facing up, place your right knife-hand on the opponent’s elbow and push down while pulling their wrist up.  
  • Seub 9 Sool – Both you and your opponent are standing in a natural stance, fully facing each other. Step forward and to the left with your left foot, placing it to the outside of opponent’s right foot, grab their right hand with your left hand, twists right-hand counter-clockwise, grab their hand with your right, thumbs on the back of their hand, and takedown by dropping on your left knee. 
  • Seub 10 Sool – Both you and your opponent are standing in a natural stance, fully facing each other. Step forward with your right foot, and thrust your right arm under their left arm, left their left wrist to your right shoulder, palm facing up, cross your hands at opponents’ elbow joint and sweep left counter-clockwise, take the opponent down by kneeling on your left knee and applying pressure to their elbow.  
  • Seub 11 Sool – Both you and your opponent are standing in a natural stance, fully facing each other. Step forward and to the left with your left foot, placing it to the outside of your right foot. Grab their right wrist with your hands, thumbs on the back of their hand, step through with your right foot going under their right arm as you turn your body counterclockwise throw them by pulling and one twisting their wrist.
  • Seub 12 Sool – Both you and your opponent are standing in a natural stance, fully facing each other. Step forward and to the left with your right foot, placing your foot to the outside of your right foot. Grab under the opponent’s right wrist with your right hand and apply pressure to their elbow with your left hand. Step through with your left foot as you continue to push on their arm, go under their arm as you turn your body clockwise 180 degrees. Take them down by pulling down on their arm. 
  • Seub 13 Sool – Both you and your opponent are standing in a natural stance, fully facing each other. Step forward and to the left with your right foot, placing it in front of your right foot. Grab the opponent’s right hand with your hand and push forward (thumbs on the back of their hand). Grab the opponent’s right hand with your left hand, step forward with your left foot as you lift their arm, go under their arm as you turn your body clockwise kneel on your left knee, and through by pulling their hand down between your legs.

  1. Seub 14 Sool – Both you and your opponent are standing in a natural stance, fully facing each other. Step forward and to the left with your right foot, placing it in front of your right foot. Grab the right wrist with your left hand, as you strike the solar plexus with the right fist, wrap your right arm around the opponent’s upper right arm, sweep with your left foot counter clockwise throwing them over by pulling their right arm.

3rd  stripe

  1. Seub 15 Sool – Both you and your opponent are standing in a natural stance, fully facing each other. Step with your right foot, to the outside of their right foot, grabbing their right shoulder with your right hand, bring your right leg behind their right leg, throw by sweeping the right leg back and pushing forward with your right arm. 
  2. Seub 16 Sool – Both you and your opponent are standing in a natural stance, fully facing each other. Step forward and to the right with your left foot, grab the opponent’s left wrist with your left hand,  then grab their left first with your right hand, step through with your right foot while turning your body as you go under their left arm. Pull the opponent’s arms over your right shoulders, throwing them by pulling their arm down over your shoulder.
  3. Seub 17 Sool – Both you and your opponent are standing in a natural stance, fully facing each other. Step forward with your right foot, placing it in front of the opponent’s left foot as you thrust your right arm under their left arm to their armpit. Drive your right leg back between their legs, throw them over your right shoulder by turning your body to the left as you left your right land and bending forward.  
  4. Seub 18 Sool – Both you and your opponent are standing in a natural stance, fully facing each other. Step forward with your left foot while grabbing his right wrist with your left hand. Twist the opponent’s arm until their palm is facing up. Lift your left hand as you push the opponent’s fingers backward with your right hand. Step forward with your right foot throw them backward by continuing to push back on fingers.  
  5. Seub 19 Sool – Both you and your opponent are standing in a natural stance, fully facing each other. Step forward with your left foot while grabbing the opponent’s left hand with your left hand. Step forward with your right foot, placing it between the opponent’s legs, go under the opponent’s left arm as you pull his arm over your left shoulder. Grab the back of the knee of the opponent’s right knife with your right hand, and through them by lifting him and pulling his left arm over with your left shoulder.
