 3rd  Keub (Grade) Brown Belt Requirements

 방투 Bhang Too Sool (defense against throws) 1-7  

1st stripe

  1. Bhang Too 1 Sool –  Opponent steps forward and attempts a double hand chest grab, executing an inside double knife hand block at the inside of their elbows, followed by a knife-hand strike to the right jaw.
  2. Bhang Too 2 Sool –  Opponent steps forward and attempts a double hand chest grab, execute an inside double knife hand blocks at the inside of their elbows, grab the right sleeve and bring to your hip, execute left punch to the solar plexus.
  3. Bhang Too 3 Sool –  Opponent steps with the right hand, step to the outside with right foot, execute a twin forearm block, grab sleeve at forearm and shoulder, and execute a right knee strike to solar plexus.
  4. Bhang Too 4 Sool –  Opponent steps forward and attempts a double hand chest grab, execute an inside double knife hand blocks and grab at their wrists, step through with left foot and execute a cross arm (Ju-Jai nage) while crossing under their arms, and throwing downward.
  5. Bhang Too 5 Sool –  Opponent steps forward and attempts a double hand chest grab, stepping forward with the right foot, grab both hands, bringing their hands down to waist level, grabbing their right hand with your thumbs on the back of their hands, sweep your left foot counterclockwise. Twist their right-hand counter-clockwise throwing them.
  6. Bhang Too 6 Sool – Opponent steps forward and attempts a chest grab. Execute a double knife-hand block. Bring your opponent’s right hand down to waist level and grab their right hand with your hands, thumbs on the back of their hand, go under your opponent’s right arm as your turn your body clockwise kneeling on your left knee, and throwing them with hands between knees.
  7. Bhang Too 7 Sool – The opponent steps forward and attempts to grab your chest. Execute a double knife-hand block, stepping forward with your left foot, grab the top of their right wrist with your left hand and bring it down to waist level. Place your right hand on the opponent’s throat and your right leg behind their right leg. Throw them by pushing back on their throat and with your right hand and sweeping with your right foot.

2nd stripe

  • Bhang Too 8 Sool –  Opponent steps forward and attempts to grab at your chest, Execute a double knife-hand block. Grab their right hand with your left hand. Grab inside the upper part of their biceps with your right hand. Sweep your left foot counter-clockwise, pull them onto your right shoulder, and throw them over.
  • Bhang Too 9 Sool – Opponent steps forward and attempts to grab at your chest, Execute a double knife-hand block. Grab the top of both their wrists, while twisting arms together at the elbows, step forward with your right foot, then step with your left foot placing it in front of their left foot. Throw them by pulling their arms across your left shoulder.
  • Bhang Too 10 Sool – The opponent grabs your right label with their left hand and the right hand grabs your sleeve at your elbow. Bring your right hand chambered to ribs, then execute a right punch to the solar plexus.
  • Bhang Too 11 Sool – The opponent grabs your right label with their left hand and the right hand grabs your sleeve at your elbow. Grab their left hand with your left-hand fingers around the knife hand. Gran their arm, just above the wrist with your right hand. Twist their arm until their palm and elbow are facing up. Place your arm over their left elbow while turning your body counter-clockwise 180 degrees. Apply pressure to the elbow kneeling on the right knee to break the arm.
  • Bhang Too 12 Sool – Opponent grabs your right label with their left hand, and the sleeve at your right left elbow. Grab their right label with your left hand and their left arm under the elbow with your right hand.  Step with your left foot in front of their left foot. Pull the opponent’s label down with your left hand while pushing their elbow up with your right hand. Sweep counterclockwise with your right foot until it is in front of their right foot. Throw them over your right hip.
  • Bhang Too 13 Sool – Opponent grabs your labels with both hands, grab their hands, thumbs on the backs of their hands. Pull both hands up while bringing your right knee up striking the solar plexus.
  • Bhang Too 14 Sool –  Opponent grabs your right label with their left hand and sleeve under your right elbow. Opponent steps across with their right foot to try and do a hip throw. You execute a right x block to their left wrist followed immediately with a twin palm pushing block to their hip.

방투 Bhang Too Sool (defense against throws) 15-21 

3rd  stripe

  1. Bhang Too 15 Sool –  Opponent grabs your right label with their left hand and sleeve under your right elbow. Opponent steps across with their right foot to try and do a hip throw. Execute a twin palm pushing block to their right hip followed by a left low twisting kick to their left knee.
  2. Bhang Too 16 Sool –  Opponent grabs your right label with their left hand and sleeve under your right elbow. Opponent steps across with their right foot to try and do a hip throw. Execute a left palm pushing block to their face, then execute a right mid-section punch to their solar plexus.
  3. Bhang Too 17 Sool –  Opponent grabs your right label with their left hand and sleeve under your right elbow. Opponent steps across with their right foot to try and do a hip throw. Execute a left forearm low block, then a right uppercut to the solar plexus.
  4. Bhang Too 18 Sool – Opponent grabs your right label with their left hand and sleeve under your right elbow. Opponent steps across with their right foot to try and do a hip throw. Gran their left hand with your left hand, step across with your right foot placing it behind their right leg, move your right arm above their arms, and apply downward pressure on their elbow while twisting their wrist upward.  
  5. Bhang Too 19 Sool – Pushing your arm forward while bending it at the elbow striking their shoulder as your move your left foot backward Opponents grab your left wrist with their right hand while steeping across with their right foot. They attempt a left shoulder throw. and kneeling at the same time.
  6. Bhang Too 20 Sool –  Opponents grab your left wrist with their right hand while steeping across with their right foot. They attempt a left shoulder throw. Execute a right forward elbow strike to the kidneys, then pull backward and down with the left elbow.
  7. Bhang Too 21 Sool – Opponents grab your left wrist with their right hand while stepping across with their right foot. Grab under their wrist with your left hand, using a pushing Spearhand strike to their throat and throwing the rearward by pulling with the left arm down and back.
